Why

The Foundation is formed with the idea of perpetuating and maintaining in time the altruistic work of Dr. Litton Muñoz and its team of collaborators of the Urological Brigades: in order to transfer to other countries, with lower knowledge, the knowhow the clinical capacities, medical technology, research initiatives and, in short, the individual and collective benefits, derived from a broader development of their medical specialty, urology. And such a transfer must be carried out in a structured, organized and sustainable way, in order to be able to grow over time -ensuring its future survival – as well as -increasing the number of countries that can benefit from its activity.

Our mission is to achieve, as an additional aspiration, the vision of the Foundation above mentioned, and such demands need of organizational, human and material means. Providing the Foundation with such means will be one of our main objectives. In this way, the Foundation should seek to generate broad layers of consensus around Dr. Litton’s workand this not only requires making it – The Foundation – known, but also trying to get people involved in and with it, and these people should not only be of relevance, but will need to have certain abilities, in order to guarantee , through their direct or indirect contribution, its continuity over time.

Furthermore, the Foundation will ensure that the Doctor’s professional example is emulated, in order to attain continuity in the flow of professionals who wish to continue with his work.

And finally, the Foundation must strengthen the financial sustainability of the activities derived from the pursuit of the vision expressed above.

In other words, we want to professionalize the management of an activity that till now has rested on the Doctor’s and a small group of collaborators’ both, will and work. By providing it with a structure, organizing it, making it known and casting towards the future all the principles which encloses, while guaranteeing its continuity.
